Pack 1203 uses this website to share public pack information, answer requests from parents and caregivers, and support approved members. We collect only the information needed for those purposes.
Information families provide
The request-information form may collect an adult's name, email address, optional phone number, a Scout's grade or age range, volunteer interest, message, and mailing-list choice. The pack board collects a first name and message for leader review. Please do not submit a child's email address, phone number, home address, school schedule, or other sensitive personal information.
How Pack 1203 uses information
Approved pack leaders use inquiry details to answer questions, send the information packet, follow up about joining or volunteering, and—only when the box is checked—send pack news and event emails. Mailing messages include an unsubscribe option. We do not sell family contact information.
Members, photos, and youth safety
Member access is limited to approved adults using their ChatGPT-authenticated email. Pack 1203 does not receive or store ChatGPT passwords. Leaders choose whether each photo is public, member-only, or both; the public gallery is intended to avoid recognizable children's faces. Families should contact a pack leader through the request-information form to ask about access, correction, removal, or a photo concern.
Google AdSense and cookies
If advertising is activated, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Because this website is youth-focused, Pack 1203 configures Google ad requests for child-restricted treatment, which disables interest-based advertising and remarketing for that content. Before ads are served to visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the pack will enable Google's certified consent message or another Google-certified consent management platform. Visitors will be able to manage the choices offered by that service.
Meta Pixel
If a leader adds a Meta Pixel ID, the site asks for permission before loading the pixel. If allowed, Meta receives a basic PageView event and associated browser or device information to help the pack measure outreach. The site does not send inquiry-form fields, member details, mailing-list records, or children's information to the pixel. Choosing “No thanks” keeps it off; clearing this site's browser storage resets that choice. Learn more about Meta's privacy practices.
Service providers and links
The website's hosting, database, file storage, authentication, and optional email-delivery providers process information only to operate these features. The site also links to Scouting America, LAUSD, Facebook, and other external services; their own privacy practices apply after you follow those links.
Retention and security
Inquiry, membership, mailing, moderation, and campaign records are retained while they are useful for pack administration, safety, consent history, or legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. No online service can promise absolute security, but access controls and private member media routes are used to reduce unauthorized access.
Your choices and questions
You may decline mailing-list enrollment, unsubscribe from an email, or ask pack leaders to review, correct, or delete information associated with you. Use the Pack 1203 contact form and state that your message is a privacy request. A parent or legal guardian should make any request involving a child.
